The team from Atlanta’s Marlow’s Tavern blends the sushi experience with Aqua blue’s steak and seafood. Although the rolls will seem a bit overplayed for the purist and more appropriate for someone who might be skittish about sushi, the sashimi offerings are pure pleasure, especially the white tuna, a solid slice of firm, sweet flesh. We like the nori salad with the sashimi, which offers a crisp, crunchy contrast. Appetizers large enough to share include the spicy Firecracker Chicken, presented in a Chinese take-out box with chopsticks. But we would skip the calamari, served without tentacles and in a far too overwhelming sauce obliterating the flavor of the calamari. Rich New England clam chowder is plump with clam pieces. In general, the kitchen's strengths lie in simply prepared dishes, such as the sea bass either grilled or bamboo steamed. For dessert, opt for the rich molten chocolate cake. The wine list contains some good options, and revisions have brought to its contents more wines that pair well with the food.
