THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Armadillo BBQ Restaurant Review:

The jar of pig snouts on the counter was our first clue that this joint isn't for the fastidious or faint-hearted. It may be cracked, scarred, scruffy and hotter than Hades (thanks to the huge smoker ovens behind the counter), but the barbecue chicken is excellent and the pork ribs, slathered in a dark, orange sauce, thick with molasses, are a greasy treat as well. Combo plates like the family feast (three pork ribs, single prime rib, half a chicken, potato salad, red cabbage slaw) are a good value. You can ratchet up the heat quotient considerably by opting for the Killer Hot Sauce. The toothbrush chained to the bathroom sink is there to assist in removing the remains of your meal from beneath your fingernails; we're reminded that the words barbecue and barbarian originate from the same root. A bib may not be essential, but consider wearing a brown shirt.
