THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Arturo's Uptown Italiano Restaurant Review

: Although founding chef Arturo Boada is gone, the modern Italian fare is still light but flavorful. For lunch, enjoy a pizza margherita, creamy yellow bell pepper soup or the Mela salad with apples, Gorgonzola and walnuts. For dinner, we like the frutti de mare seafood soup with mussels, clams, shrimp, snapper and mixed herbs, or the Mediterranean grilled chicken breast with olives, artichoke hearts and capers. Among the pastas are generous shrimp with fettuccine in creamy cilantro pesto sauce and angel hair pasta with clams. If you just want an appetizer at the roomy and bustling bar, sample the tempura fried shrimp and artichoke hearts, or Sonia's ravioli stuffed with chicken and porcini mushrooms topped with a white wine-basil sauce and lump crab meat. An antipasti tapas menu makes for good happy hour snacking. Sunday brunch combines typical items with Italian staples, including a sausage omelet finished with spinach and marinara sauce. The crowd is fun; expect a group of well-traveled professionals who live and work in the area.
