Though the Atomic Grill is not for snooty culinarians, it's a solid place to get New Mexican basics like enchiladas, nachos and fish tacos. You can roll in anytime before 3 a.m., grab a beer (there are more than 100 offered) or a breakfast burrito and witness teens dressed to the nines after high school dances, older couples gussied up after the opera, and black-clad, twenty-something college students canoodling in the corner. If dinner is already a distant memory, the Atomic is full of desserts like chocolate blackout cake, as well as quality espresso drinks. The décor adds a funky dreamlike quality to the experience, with a massive glass mosaic wood oven extending up to the towering ceiling and oversize airbrushed portraits of celebrities ranging from Picasso to Frankenstein.
