THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Caffe Dolce Vita Restaurant Review:

Caffe Dolce Vita actually delivers on its promise of a taste of the good life. Located on Federal Hill’s DePasquale Plaza, this is the place to linger over an alfresco meal on a hot summer evening, but even in the dead of winter, we feel transported, Vespa-like, to the streets of Italy. The faux-Modernist décor appeals without being pretentious; it’s a good setting for a glass of Chianti, a shared salad and garlic bread, and main courses of homemade ravioli and linguine Bolognese. What’s especially sweet about Caffe Dolce Vita is that it offers three meals a day: try the waffles Foster for breakfast with a cup of espresso or cappuccino; the three-course, $14.95 fixed-price lunch; and a $49.95 fixed-price, three-course dinner, too. For night owls, this is one of the few places in town where you can get something other than greasy-spoon food after midnight on the weekend. Desserts include imported gelato, a "secret-recipe" tiramisu and cannoli. The food-sated can retire comfortably upstairs to the boutique Hotel Dolce Villa or walk it off on always-entertaining Atwells Avenue, the heart of Italian Providence.
