THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Comme Ca Restaurant Review:

Buoyed by his success with Comme Ça in Los Angeles, it was easy for chef David Myers to open a second location. He chose Las Vegas and The Cosmopolitan hotel --- and what an appropriate choice for a French brasserie. Sin City is the only place in America where you can find the Eiffel Tower, and Comme Ça is the only restaurant at The Cosmopolitan to enjoy a view of the grande dame from its terrace on the third floor off The Strip. Restaurant designer extraordinaire Adam Tihany was in charge of the décor of the large space, divided into a bar/lounge as you enter and a dining room opening onto the terrace. Green/gray is the primary tone, with colorful touches and decorative details everywhere, which makes the place quite attractive, and gives it a modern brasserie feel. Myers has composed a menu that resembles the one in California, and it maintains a focus on French cuisine. Start with escargots persillade, a must, or the French onion soup with caramelized sweet onion and Gruyère. As expected in a brasserie, there are fruits de mer coming in the form of oysters and king crab, as a plateau and even with caviar (hopefully to celebrate your winnings in the casino). We also like the charcuterie board, roasted beet salad and the roasted bone marrow with a delicious oxtail jam for appetizers. Entrée specialties include steak frites with herb butter, steamed mussels and the signature burger. A selection of cheeses may precede the peach clafoutis or chocolate torte. The wine list is mainly composed of French and Californian selections.
