Gott's Roadside Restaurant Review:
Gott’s Roadside (formerly Taylor's Automatic Refresher) is a wonderful anachronism right smack dab in the middle of the wine trail. People gather to sample burgers, fries, tacos and shakes so thick a straw is, happily, useless. Keep in mind this is Napa Valley’s idea of a burger joint --- so along with elevated takes on the classics (with elevated prices to match), grab a rare ahi burger with ginger wasabi mayo, garlic fries and a Chardonnay for haute picnic table dining behind the roadside stand. Yes, Gott’s has a tremendous beer and wine selection and even offers half-bottles and Anchor Steam on tap. For dessert, indulge in a cup of chocolate or vanilla soft-serve ice cream from Straus Family Creamery. Also located at the Oxbow Market in Napa and in San Francisco at the Ferry Building.
