Budget-strapped scions attending nearby Brown University flock to Harry's Bar & Burger, a creation from Rhode Island restaurateur John Elkhay. The menu is endearingly simple --- that is, as long as you like burgers or hot dogs. Hereford beef burgers come in a dozen different ways; pastrami and pulled pork are more inventive toppings. The basic Hereford beef burger (two actually, since they are served as paired "sliders") will set you back just $3.99. That's about right for the serving size; sides (fries and onion strings) cost extra. Buffalo chicken and pulled pork sandwiches are among a handful of other menu options, best washed down with a bottle of craft beer or one of Harry's boozy ice cream drinks. Other locations.
