La Frite Belgian Bistro Restaurant Review:

La Frite’s décor was assembled à la marché aux puces in its first incarnation, and the current owners have continued the casual vibe. The cuisine is a patchwork, too, though more on the order of a vintage quilt. Moules, for many the mainstay of the menu, are available seven ways (frites are a must) and in both petit and grand serving sizes at dinner; we're especially fond of the classic marinières rendition, but will gladly accept the Thai with red curry and coconut milk. Salads of Belgian endive with walnuts and Morbier or frisée with lardons and a poached egg may be contemplated before or after upscale entrées that include salmon Dijonaise, a vol au vent stuffed with seafood, and classic steak au poivre --- not to mention a traditional steak tartare. Belgian waffles (we suppose they were inevitable) are also available, as is a list of Trappist and other thematic beers; the adjacent wine bar touts a (mostly French) list by the glass and bottle, and there's a daily happy hour.
