L'Auberge Chez Francois Restaurant Review:
This family-owned, sprawling country auberge exudes hospitality, and the hosts treat customers like family. At dinner, the price of the six-course prix-fixe includes a starter, salad and dessert. Alsatian specialties range from house-made pâtés to veal kidneys with mustard sauce, giant choucroute platters, game in season, and a homey plum tart for dessert. Lunchtime brings a four-course prix-fixe spread that highlights the kitchen's onion soup and Maine lobster salad. The inn's romantic garden with a gazebo provides ideal alfresco seating in good weather. Note that L'Auberge encompasses a casual brasserie, too. The wine list is extensive; look to the sommeliers for guidance.
