![]() : B Spot, a restaurant from chef Michael Symon, is a no muss, no fuss kind of place. The B in B Spot stands for bar snacks, big salads (six total), burgers, bratwurst (five variations) and bologna. It could also stand for budget-friendly. The "Yo!" burger, made with fried salami, provolone, shasha sauce and pickled onion, is so good it earned Symon the top prize at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival four times. Other must-try items include the “Fat Doug,” a burger that defies formality by piling crunchy coleslaw, salty pastrami, Stadium mustard and Swiss on top of the beef patty. Most, if not all, of the burgers are big, messy things. Once you’ve finished wiping your chin (and your hands and, maybe, your elbows, too), order up a shake. Our favorite is the “Vanilla Bean Apple Pie & Bacon” with a shot of bourbon. If that doesn’t quench your thirst, try any one of the 40 craft brews, categorized from light-bodied to tart and funky or hops-driven and dark. |
