THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED BBQ Blues Cafe Restaurant Review:
Owner Rob Andersons Boston accent makes cue enthusiasts skittish, and sure enough, this barbecue is pre-cooked so it slides off the bone. That kind of cooking makes the meat flabby and causes it to lack that pink edge that denotes correctly cooked cue. Still, its a cue style a lot of folks (usually northern ones) like. The thick commercial sauce is Midwestern-style, tomato-based and sweet, but at least it lends the meat some flavor. There are some fairly good side dishes, and the service is friendly. The room is squeaky clean and bright, and the acoustics are good for listening to the nice music.
