: Just a couple blocks from the heart of downtown, this low-key Mexican spot keeps large lunch crowds happy with the basics. Downtown office types squeeze in for tacos and fat boy burritos, flautas, fajitas and rellenos, all served with cafeteria-quality rice and refried beans. No, it’s not fancy, but it’s dirt-cheap and fast and very close to the office. Low-priced jumbo margaritas and pitchers of sangría stretch the value of the dollar. We stop in after work for budget Mexi beers, happy-hour shots and complimentary chips and mild salsa; if you want an extra jolt of heat, ask the server for the "hot" salsa. |
