Though resembling little more than a shack, Billygan’s has on-the-beach lounge chairs a few meters above the high-tide waterline and a view that help compensate for the lack of décor. Live bands play during happy hour and other activities continue throughout the day---all enhanced by buckets of beer on ice and tropical drinks. You can rent wave runners or parasail steps from your table. The menu features pricey but well prepared fresh seafood, affordable standard Mexican fare, burgers and snacks that range from ceviches and onion rings to nachos and quesadillas. Coconut shrimp, grilled lobster tail, local catch-of-the-day al gusto, and octopus in chile and beer are highlights. At night the place morphs into a dinner-house and patrons can wriggle their toes in the sand while they dine.
