THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bissaleh Restaurant Review:
This kosher, Israeli-style, dairy restaurant is also a pizza place, juice bar, and coffee bar. The room is small, the servers personable, and the environment akin to that of an informal Jerusalem café. The menu is, well, different---at least for those unaccustomed to indulging in ftuts, malawachs, and stuffed bissalehs, which are all variations on homemade dough baked with cheeses and vegetables. More familiar menu ground is covered by favorites like Greek salad, cheese blintzes and the best hummus and falafel in town. Fresh fish specials, at $14.95, are the only items priced over $10. A wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetable juices and a sparkling dessert of watermelon and feta cheese are perfectly refreshing on a hot Florida day.
