Bistro Central Parc’s sleek, modern dining room keeps a casual tone thanks to a handful of country accents such as old wine barrels tucked into corners. Counter seating spans a wide open kitchen for folks wanting a view onto the action --- made even better by a glass of wine. Kick off the meal with a hunk of warmed Brie with garlic and concassé of tomatoes. Or go for the plump, tender mussels with traditional white wine and shallot broth or a more decadent version featuring Madras curry and crème fraîche. Duck confit is juicy underneath its crispy fried skin; filet mignon is paired with a green peppercorn sauce. Surprising authenticity abounds, including a very good nougat glace, one of the bistro's signature desserts. Wines are predominantly French and moderately priced.
