The best addition to Front Street we’ve seen. Amongst the usual fare of ubiquitous Pacific Rim restaurants, Chef Maka Kwon (apprentice of Chef George Gomes of Tri-Star Restaurants Nick’s Fishmarket, Sarento’s and Son’z at Swan Court), has created a menu rich in the spices and exotic combinations of Mediterranean cuisine. We suggest your meal start with the Tandoori oven fired naan bread, great by itself, but even better with its accompanying curried hummus and roasted olives. We loved the unique sweet and spicy flavor of the grilled ahi-mahi nachos with refried black rice, lilikoi-chile sauce and mozzarella cheese. Although it will be hard to overlook the grilled lamb t-bone with crunchy garlic potatoes, tzatziki sauce, pomegranate-syrup and mint, or the souvlaki - choose from chicken, lamb or fish skewers with rice pilaf, toasted pita bread and tzatziki sauce - we highly recommend the Tandoori fried half chicken with a yogurt and spice marinade, basmati rice and coconut-cilantro chutney. If you somehow still have room for dessert, the homemade “S’mores” are a sight to behold. Huge bricks of toasted vanilla marshmallows, set atop spicy graham crackers, are covered in rich, bittersweet chocolate sauce and Kahlua caramel. A belly bomb but a delicious one!
