Warm with brick and cozy accents, Blue Trout does indeed offer its signature rainbow trout both smoked and encrusted with pecans. While the seafood dishes are plentiful and tasty, including a mahi mahi punctuated with the tang from a Parmesan crust, anything barbecued shines. Try the smoked ribs with house-made baked beans or the veal and pork bratwurst with sauerkraut and robust mustard. Even a simple roasted chicken comes out like Mom used to make, crisp and juicy. Apple crisp sports hearty oats with sweet caramelized brown sugar but Key lime pie takes it---tart and smooth.
