THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW A PRIVATE EVENT SPACE Bluebird Dining Rooms Restaurant Review:

Do not mistake the Bluebird Dining Rooms with Sir Terence Conran's mid-market Bluebird Restaurant (and excellent café). This was once the private club of the complex and is wood-panelled, quietly elegant and very chic. It was redesigned by son Tom Conran in an Art Deco style and has a giant lobster tank alongside the odd humorous touch to ease any feeling of stuffiness: pictures are casually leant along the walls. Mark Broadbent, the chef, was with Oliver Peyton's group and has clearly found his heart here. Classic British cooking is artfully done, as in fresh scallops wrapped in crispy bacon and skewered; hot buttered lobster; roasted duck. Touches like toasted cob nuts in season, and Lancashire black peas testify to the care of sourcing British, seasonal ingredients. The wine list is good, as you expect from a Conran restaurant.
