Bobbique Restaurant Review:

Bobbique is the area’s only option for barbecue, and it is a decent one, especially for beer drinkers and blues fans. An extensive selection of the former is offered, including local brews from Blue Point and Brooklyn on draft, with a long list of bottles besides. The concert calendar is booked with at least two shows a week and often more in the high season. As for barbecue, all the requisite dishes are available, from St. Louis ribs to a pulled pork sandwich and chopped brisket, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a true Southern barbecue joint: orders are placed at the counter and the messy 'cue devoured at a table, accompanied by a whole roll of paper towels. Barbecue chicken is moist, and barbecue shrimp skewers are similarly well done --- get the sweet potato fries as one of your two included sides. Banana pudding provides a rich and satisfying end to the meal, but you can also opt for apple caramel or bourbon pecan pie.
