The BonBonerie Cafe & Tea Room Restaurant Review

: From the moment you step into BonBonerie, the smell of sweet treats and the attractive counter displays are enough to transport you to Paris. Whether you are looking for a place to book an afternoon tea, hold a private baby shower or just have lunch with a friend, this is one place in the Queen City where you can be sure there will be something pretty on your plate. The BonBonerie’s signature opera-cream torte combines chocolate chip-studded chocolate layers brushed with vanilla syrup, coffee liqueur and brandy, filled with a mixture of white chocolate, cream and butter. The cake is glazed with bittersweet chocolate and decorated with even more chocolate. The bakery expanded to include a café, which serves a mini version of the opera-cream torte during afternoon tea, along with quiche, finger sandwiches and more than 75 kinds of tea. Lunches offer light fare, ranging from crêpes or a daily quiche to a tuna plate or turkey sandwich. Also available are a ham and Brie panino, gourmet grilled cheese and black bean burgers, as well as crème brûlée, homemade waffles or french toast. Soups and salads are served with a side of fruit and cookies. A children's tea service features peanut butter and jelly and cutout cookies.
