A mural of the Great Barrier Reef is the first clue, and the second is a depiction of Australia’s fabled red sandstone hills: You’re going Down Under in Federal Hill. The menu sports its share of thematic treats, like dishwater soup, kangaroo brochettes, and Kakadoo stew. And there’s a goodly list of Aussie brews. You could go for the whole koala, ordering up a big steak topped with fried oysters, but the real fun’s in the bar food, like the flaky-crusted, savory meat pies served with the requisite ketchup and the oysters Nullabor spiked with Pernod. Bring your mates---or meet a few new ones at the lively bar.
