THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bradley St. Fish House Restaurant Review:
A renovated historic building in downtown Carrollton houses this adventurous new restaurant. This small university town has been hungry for good cooking, and now heres a seafood house that also does steaks and things, as the menu states. For a tasty appetizer, try the spicy fried shrimp on a triangle of grits flavored with minced mussels and set off with a fresh tomato compote. Stick with simpler entrées, such as cornmeal-fried catfish or ginger-sesame grilled salmon. The pastry chef, however, has a great handle on inventive fare like a white chocolate pecan brownie. It normally comes topped with house-made vanilla ice cream, but try it with just a dollop of unsweetened whipped cream. The short wine list has respectable selections, with many offered by the glass. Reservations are advised, particularly on weekends.
