Bugatti's Restaurant Review:
This suburban-style restaurant has several branches around Portland. West Linn is the original outpost with a somewhat larger menu and a more formal feel than its siblings. Dishes cover the expected range of Italian-American standards, from spinach salad to cioppino, lasagna, pizza, pasta, fish specials and a tasty lamb loin. Nothing is knock-your-socks-off exciting, but it's all comfortable and especially welcoming for small children. There's even a special pasta menu for young appetites. Options for gluten-free and whole-wheat pasta exemplify the "please everyone" philosophy. Complimentary focaccia with oil to drizzle and the desserts have both kid and adult appeal. If in season, the mushroom cream pasta made with local fungi is a knockout, while selections such as rib-eye steak and grilled wild salmon add pure American flavor. The extensive wine list offers both Italian and American wines.
