THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Burlap Restaurant Review:

Brian Malarkey’s Burlap is a playful and high energy spot that's packed with partiers and diners enjoying the chef’s bold cuisine, deemed "Asian Cowboy," a fun mix of America West meats, rotisserie, seafood and creative sides with Asian twists. Start your engines with firecracker duck wings or spicy albacore tuna with crispy rice, then shift over to a beet and salmon salad with nice notes of fennel. Share some Korean ribs in chipotle-eel sauce or his famous shrimp and grits with lardon and a soft warm egg resting on top. For entrées, we suggest the tender filet mignon with a side of broccolini drizzled in hoisin. Or for a little extravagance, try the Australian Kobe with foie gras. Fish fans should target the black cod in miso glaze. LA designer Thomas Schoos transformed the space into a striking set with giant Chinese dragon heads guarding the bar where we like sipping the popcorn margarita, tequila infused with popcorn, bedecked with a corn husk stirrer, and designed by the innovative mixologists of Snake Oil Cocktail Co. A hard-carved bar from India makes a dramatic statement in the back, while a gazebo next to a koi pond calls for private, intimate dining on the patio.
