THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Cabin Restaurant Review:
Yes, its really a rustic cabin with animal trophies, quilts and woodsy furniture. In keeping with this manly atmosphere, the Midwest beefsteaks (filets, strips, porterhouses and bone-in rib-eyes) take the prize for the best items. A nightly game special may be grilled venison, buffalo or elk, and the latter is especially savory. Duck sausage and crab cakes are popular appetizer dishes. Steaks are the prime draw, but there are plenty of fish dishes as well. Horseradish grouper has remained a favorite item throughout the seven or so years The Cabin has been drawing popular attention. Desserts come from a respected source, and pecan and Key lime pies are the ones to target. For both lunch and dinner, more than a dozen Southern-style vegetables are available as side dishes.
