Cadaques Restaurant Review

: Named for the coastal town in Catalonia that was home to Salvador Dali, this Williamsburg restaurant isn’t doing anything visually showy or overly elaborate with its creations. Instead, the kitchen turns out simply prepared but well-executed Spanish dishes with a few satisfying flourishes. The usual pan con tomate, croquetas, padrones and patatas bravas all make an appearance, and are all worth considering. But there are a couple standout dishes that should be obligatory for the first-time visitor: the scallops and foie gras and the uni-topped pork belly, both of which boldly marry surf ‘n’ turf. For something sweet to end the meal, we suggest the deep-fried chocolate lollipops with a vanilla dip. The wine list is all Spanish and includes some nice selections by the glass.
