THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Aragon Restaurant Review:
Café Aragon's roots are in Spain, and the simple menu offers an array of authentic creations, starting with appetizers like Spanish ham and sheep's cheese with sausage, fried calamari, or assorted chilled seafood in a light vinaigrette. It's almost impossible to finish the delectable, generous servings of tomato-y ropa vieja (shredded beef) with garlic, onion, peppers and fresh herbs; roast pork in a garlicky wine sauce; or mahi mahi sautéed in garlic and olive oil and served with Creole sauce. Side dishes are tempting though there's hardly room to consider them unless you settle for a simple steak, chicken or roast pork sandwich. Diners seem to enjoy taking their time with the ample meal, sipping sangría and bottles of wine in the comfortable dining room, and the friendly servers add to the enjoyment. A sweet flan or arroz con leche is the perfect ending.
