Here you can test-drive balti cooking, an adventuresome form of stir frying born in the northernmost regions of Kashmir or go southern Indian with a robust dosai, the Indian crêpe variously stuffed with spiced potatoes and lentils, or the donut-shaped lentil cakes called vada. You won't have eaten the highest form of the art, but it's a decent initiation. Don't expect much in the way of atmosphere.
