THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Natasha Restaurant Review:

If any neighborhood in town would have Persian food, it would be the University City Loop, home to a number of restaurateurs who march to individual, highly different drummers. This immaculately white little restaurant decorated with knickknacks of the ancient homeland now known as Iran serves many of the Washington U. community, from full profs on down, and the many other assorted visitors to the Loop, ranging from adventurous young Goths to world-traveling seniors. First courses are all vegetarian, ranging from nibbles of feta and veggies to osh, the lentil-and-barley soup that arrives not only piping hot, but also well-flavored, thick and delicious. Lamb chops are four or five rather thin loin chops, marinated and grilled, delicious and just the ticket for a foray into exotica for the beginning adventurer. The rice is Basmati, and the red seasoning in a shaker is sumac, slightly sour, very authentic. Try the good apple or cheese pie for dessert. Finish up with mint tea.
