THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Primavera Restaurant Review:
The Primavera restaurant familys foray into fine dining has been well received by residents of upscale, friendly downtown Los Gatos. Recent changes behind the scenes are expected to turn it from an interesting newcomer into a real contender on the restaurant scene. A somewhat unfocused menu, which used to jump around from one culinary style to another without any real design, is being smoothed out and refined by chef Chris Kentzer, newly arrived from Zibibbo. The cuisine now has a Mediterranean focus, though some popular dishes, such as the duck spring rolls and the baby spinach salad, remain unchanged. The extensive wine list includes special sections for Intriguing Reds and Interesting Whites. For those who dont mind loosening the belt a notch (perhaps permanently), the warm chocolate truffle cake accompanied by espresso is a great way to end the meal.
