THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Rani Restaurant Review:
Tempting salads and such sandwiches as a grilled portobello or the Mediterranean, with roasted red peppers, feta and yogurt basil, form the core of this health-focused menu. Entrées include Tuscan chicken, bronzed tuna and sesame seared salmon. Coffees and teas are specialties, and while the desserts are too tempting to forgo, the cheese and fruit plates seem to be the most appropriate. A decent wine list is offered, with many varieties by the glass. Black-and-white photographs enhance the upscale, casual aura that fits in nicely with the fancy boutiques along Magazine Street. In nice weather, ask for a table outside under the towering live oak tree, where it is easy to while away the afternoon.
