If you're all sauced out and ready to fire up with a different kind of spice, Cafe Roux has the kick you've been waiting for. Chef Brian Bromwell and owner Jen Coniglio have loaded the ticket with lots of down-home Southern and Cajun flavors in this eatery along Park Place's petite main street. The crawfish pie is a standout as is the drunken pickled shrimp in Champagne vinegar. There's also a muffaletta sandwich and a Roux BLT slabbed with smoky bacon, fried green tomatoes and green onion mayo. Stay for a cup of chickory and the powdered beignets or even the milk and cookies. Sit outside if you can grab a table.
