![]() : A longtime romantic go-to spot, Café Tango has undergone a subtle shift reflecting chef Walter Sanchez's enthusiasm for the gutsy flavors of Spain. The wine list follows suit accordingly while the short menu wanders amongst fava beans, chorizo, garlic-sparked shrimp and the like. Tabs can be steep at this charmer nestled in the pines, but that doesn't stop the date-night hoards. Try the seared scallops, the sultry rib-eye accessorized with foie gras, and the Dancing Fish (local snapper elevated by a just-spicy jalapeño cream sauce), not to mention the warm French bread presented with a fruity Parmesan-herb oil. Service is professional, which may explain why this converted house is a reliable host for weddings and special events. |
