California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review:

While not the best pizza in town anymore, we have not once been disappointed by CPK, an American import. The list of two dozen crispy-thin pizzas includes all the standards, but there are also inventive versions like wild mushroom, California club with fresh avocado slices and the B.L.T. --- complete with mayonnaise. Our favorites are the roasted garlic chicken, with its garlic-shallot butter, the Thai chicken and the pepperoni, the most popular of the pizzas. You can also design your own. If you can tear yourself away from the pies --- we almost never can --- try one of the pastas; we recommend the kung pao spaghetti with garlic, green onions, peanut and fresh fiery chilies. Another Asian option, the crisp Chinese chicken salad, is satisfying. Salad portions are large, so keep in mind that you can get a half-order. Soups, appetizers, sandwiches made with good hearth-baked focaccia, gluten-free items and filling desserts, like the red velvet cake and Key lime pie, round out the menu.
