Carly's Bistro Restaurant Review:
If you judge on exterior looks alone, this generic storefront café might not do it for you. But hold on, the punk coffee shop style space is home to some good cooking. Neighborhood regulars know this place offers up weekend brunch favorites like a Greek egg sandwich of scrambled egg, feta cheese, tomatoes and spinach on toasted ciabatta, and a chorizo burrito, with a Bloody Mary served in a Mason jar. Day and nighttime bites are listed on chalkboards: bruschetta topped in prosciutto, fig paste and Gorgonzola; panini; lavash wraps; and a pastrami Reuben. Consider Carly’s for late-night food and drink, too, and it’s a popular stop on art walks --- check out the Day of the Dead mural on the outside wall near the picnic tables.
