THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Cesco Trattoria Restaurant Review:
It’s enough for gastronomes to hear the name Francesco Ricchi to understand that they are about to experience an explosion of flavors and textures. A noted area chef, he opened DC’s Etrusco and I Ricchi and has put some dishes on the local culinary map. Cesco Trattoria features his northern Italian cooking in a pretty corner setting. Particularly nice: an alfresco lunch on the covered patio. Splurge on the signature prosciutto with fried bread or the tomatoes with fresh mozzarella drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. The grilled salmon special may tempt, but skip straight to the pastas, for example, the homemade cavatelli with broccoli rabe, minced sausage and tomato. The breads are impressive, too, and one---a focaccia with roasted tomatoes as a topping---is luscious. And how about the osso buco in white wine sauce, topped with crunchy angel hair pasta? So many choices, so many calories.
