Chad Stevens was only 26-years-old when he opened the doors to this quaint old Victorian a block off State Street, but his family had been in the restaurant business for generations and he had confidence. Stevens has won great respect among the Santa Barbara restaurant clan with simple yet creative American regional creations: Chad's country chicken, blackened ahi and stuffed Montana pork chops. Different sampler plates allow guests to try almost every one of the appetizers or three of the favorite entrées. There's an outdoor patio for balmy evenings and a fireplace inside for cool ones, as well as live music on Tuesday and Saturday nights. Great Happy Hour specials make this an ideal after-work hangout.
