Endowed with a chameleon’s taste for variety, chef/proprietor Ken Irvine rings changes on the menu at this dark, trendy, well-decorated spot in the heart of Coronado’s downtown village by spicing it with dishes with a difference, such as ostrich filet with spicy pesto, spinach salad with wild boar bacon, seared, pepper-coated tuna tacos topped with teriyaki mushroom salsa, and salmon in lemon-ginger sauce. A predominately young, hip crowd loves the food---and hanging out in the handsome bar as well--- and those in the know save room for such sweets as the light-as-air flourless chocolate cupcake in cappuccino sauce.
