THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chevys Fresh Mex Restaurant Review:

The mall crowd spills over to this Chevys location, and there’s almost always a line out the front door. This ambitious chain boasts never anything from a can in its kitchen, and we can attest to the freshness of the warm, paper-thin chips, the salsa made hourly and the tortillas that roll off the machine in the dining room throughout the day. Chefs we know head to Chevys for the fresh-Mex sampler, with spicy chicken wings, chicken and pork tamales, fajita chicken nachos, a chicken quesadilla and fresh guacamole. We love the fish tacos, Dos Equis-battered chunks of white fish with chile aioli, chipotle slaw and pico de gallo. Margaritas of every flavor, frozen or on the rocks, are on nearly every table, and you will find an admirable choice of Mexican beers. Desserts aren’t a big seller, but we often save room for the coconut cajeta, a sinful combination of vanilla ice cream rolled in toasted coconut and topped with homemade caramel or chocolate sauce.
