Chick-a-Biddy Restaurant Review

: A sibling concept to chefs-partners Lance Gummere and Shaun Doty's Bantam + Biddy, this second chicken-focused operation occupies what formerly was The Grape. The Johnson Studio reconfigured the space to suggest a fast-food operation, but the product focuses on healthy ways with chicken. All-natural, pasture-raised poultry is the centerpiece of the menu, along with farm-fresh eggs and produce. Executive chef Scott Weaver offers a choice of grilled or fried chicken. Sides include hand-cut fries, watermelon and local feta salad, and Asian pear salad. Lots of items are gluten-free, and many are made with organic ingredients, including organic oatmeal for brunch. We've snacked on the chicken tenders and, although we find them a little dry, they were flavorful. Piri piri sauce, a South African favorite with chicken, is mild, too mild for some tastes, but will pick up the flavors a notch. Chick-a-Biddy is kid-friendly and offers beverages from wines to smoothies.
