Visitors flock to Cape Cod every year for the sun, the sand and the restaurants. Every town on the Cape boasts at least one fine dining destination, but among the myriad of choices, Chillingsworth is the king. Set in a sprawling 300-year-old estate, Chillingsworth attracts food lovers from across New England. The dining room offers a seven-course set menu of French-inspired cuisine blended with New England, Californian and Asian influences. And for those guests who forgot to bring their appetite, the accommodating kitchen also offers choices à la carte. Standouts include the lobster stew appetizer with sweet corn and lobster butter fondue, seared rare tuna with foie gras sauce, loin of lamb with pesto mashed potatoes and herbed lamb sauce and, for dessert, the raspberry soufflé. The dining room is actually the maze of small rooms that made up the original house, making for an intimate dining experience. The restaurant offers a comfortable bar and lounge for those who wish to relax with a drink before or after dinner.
