![]() : The buzz about this showy, second-level dining room was tamped when Todd Stein left the kitchen. Stepping in is Evan Percoco (Bokx 109 American Prime, outside of Boston), who has begun modifying the menu. The setting---a sexy, conversation-worthy fresco collage on the ceiling, high-backed, white leather banquettes, and private entrance---sure does attract a cool crowd. As before, the menu isn’t too out there, but it’s modern and whimsical. Not everything shines, though a standout plate is the citrusy, tender grilled octopus with endive. Meanwhile, burrata goes glam with vibrant beet salad and chestnut vinaigrette, and rabbit raviolo gets sweet-savory treatment with pumpkin seed, amaretti and nutty Parmesan components. We’ve got high hopes for the place, and---for the time being---are taking a wait and see approach as changes ensue. |
