C London Restaurant Review:
The restaurant that was once named Cipriani is only to be attempted by the rich and the glitzy. Cipriani is now C London, but it still has the same feeling that central casting has been here as does Harry's Bar in Venice, to which it is intimately related. The room is sumptuous, a fitting setting for the movie stars and seriously wealthy figures who regard it as their club. As you will have gathered, this is a place where the food, though on the whole good, is very much an afterthought. Start with one of those famous Bellinis, then try the likes of smoke prosciutto, risottos, pastas of differing styles and hues, and the traditional calf's liver. The wine list continues in the stratosphere, but if you worry about the price, perhaps you shouldn't be there.
