Circus Cafe Restaurant Review:
How can you go wrong in a place where the servers wear shirts that read “I tame lions” and the bartenders serve popcorn and cotton candy? Add to that some good burgers and tall, well-made drinks and you can’t help but have a good time. Start with the shrimp beggar’s purses served with Thai honey-mustard dipping sauce. They’re crunchy, sweet and sour---just right to whet your appetite. For an entrée, choose one of the Circus’ comfort plates such as Big Top chicken potpie or, for a lighter dish, try the endive and apple salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Top it off with the Circus Maximus chocolate sundae. After 9 p.m. this family-friendly eatery turns into one of the city’s most popular bars, attracting a crowd with an age range from 22 to 65.
