![]() : Halfway between the South End and Copley Square, Clerys is just what the after-work crowd ordered: An attractive and enormous watering hole with big French doors that peer onto the busy Dartmouth Street. For years, this space was the legendary Claddagh Pub, and it maintains much of the same energy, while emphasizing the upward mobility of the clientele, most of whom come for the drinks. Standard pub fare abounds, like chicken tenders and wings, nachos and loaded tots with some additions including chicken salad sliders, rustic flatbread and Philly steak spring rolls. Stick with the pizza, fish ānā chips, burgers-fries part of the lineup (which go best with a pint of Guinness) as most other fare is average at best. So long as dinner is not a priority, you'll be fine. |
