THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Comus Inn Restaurant Review:
The upstairs dining room offers a view of Sugarloaf Mountain, and for sheer country splendor youd be hard-pressed to find an equally fetching vista. On weekends, particularly at Sunday brunch, Comus Inn is an all-in-the-family place, where generations join together for fun. The brunch buffet includes sweet rolls, Danish, bagels, a cheese display and both fruit and green salads. Heartier fare includes country biscuits and cornbread; bacon, sausage, country potatoes and scrambled eggs; bran and regular waffles with fruit and maple syrups; and hot meats and a rice pilaf. A dessert table with three different kinds of cake concludes the feast. Lunches consist of a black Angus burger with bacon and/or cheese and the classic club. Dinners are fancier meals, at which you might find dishes such as chili-roasted chicken and almond-crusted trout. The inn does a brisk reception and special-events business, and as long as the owners can keep the developers at bay, it makes a bucolic destination not too far from downtown DC.
