The Cottage has long been one of Laguna's most popular spots for breakfast. There are numerous egg dishes, pancakes, french toast and, our favorite, corned beef hash with a poached egg. Even when it's not a weekend, this place serves a number of items that you only typically see come Sunday brunch, such as a smoked salmon Benedict. The lunch menu includes plenty of health-conscious vegetarian fare amid the expected sandwich and burger offerings, but dinner can produce some notable seafood and meat dishes. We recommend the roasted lamb chops and the Coronado Towers, char-grilled beef filet and scampi sided with garlic mashed potatoes.
