THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Countryside Cafe & Market Restaurant Review:
Atlanta-area couples looking for a close-to-home getaway often head to the north Georgia mountains, where stunning vistas and a bed-and-breakfast can mean a restorative rest. Others, pressed for time, simply drive up from Roswell and Alpharetta for dinner. Either way, one of their favorite stops is John and Cindy Lupis Countryside Café & Market. The menu emphasizes fresh seasonal ingredients. Many items, like the trout and organic produce, are obtained locally. Look for such tasty ideas as lobster and escargot cassoulet, or slow-roasted duck with honey bourbon glaze and whipped sweet potatoes. The crab cakes and filet mignon couldnt be better. Vegetarian diners and those with special dietary needs are cared for graciously. The regular wine list has fairly average selections, but there is a good reserve wine list. Guests may bring their own wine for a corkage fee of $10 per bottle. The couple has added a market selling artisan breads, beef and seafood.
