THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Crescent City Restaurant Restaurant Review:
In the middle of a shopping mall parking lot, flanked by some nondescript chain eateries, youll find this big house filled with the rowdy flavors of New Orleans. The Waller family has filled the place with colorful images of the Big Easy, a little ornate ironwork à la the French Quarter, and a jazz lounge to reflect their Louisiana heritage. The kitchen turns out popcorn shrimp or crawfish, an excellent gator dish with a piquant tomato-based sauce, a solid gumbo, jambalaya, blackened steak and even Louisiana-style rabbit. Paul Prudhomme need not feel threatened, but Crescent City is a good place to discover both Creole and Cajun cooking. And you can wash it all down with a Blackened Voodoo beer or a Hurricane cocktail the way they make it on Bourbon Street.
